Below is the health guarantee that you will receive with your puppy. The guarantee will have your puppy's specific demographics on the bottom of the official paperwork. Please read this over well BEFORE placing a deposit if you have any questions please let us know. No puppy will be allowed to leave before this is signed.

This guarantee is nontransferable. If at any time the puppy changes owners, this guarantee is VOID. All sales are considered initiated, transacted, and finalized in Hardin County, KY. This puppy is guaranteed against any infectious disease that he/she has been vaccinated against for a period of two (2) days (48 hours) from the date of pick up, after that time the breeder (Smith Pets Family Farm) is not responsible for any infectious disease. Once the puppy leaves our premises any of the vaccinated illnesses can be contracted, illnesses can be carried on your clothes, shoes, or by other animals into your yard and home. A puppy is not fully inoculated until they have had their full rounds of puppy shots. To the best of our knowledge, this puppy is in good health at the time of sale unless otherwise stated on the health records and this would have been discussed. Said puppy has been checked by our licensed vet at Elizabethtown Animal hospital. Said puppy has had temporary inoculations against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, adenos-virus type 2, and parvo. No guarantee is given on size, color, or temperament, and no refund (in full or in part) will ever be issued for these reasons. Projected adult size is based on parents’ size, past puppies (if any), puppies’ size at birth as well as 8 weeks of age. Temperament is not the same as personality you must train, spend time with, and work with your puppy to have a well-rounded pet. Schnauzers fade with age just as we do, so as they get older it is highly likely that their color will fade. It DOES NOT change the name of the actual color of your puppy just the shade of the actual color. Peppers and livers are the quickest to fade. Worms, coccidia, giardia, kennel cough, and ear mites are excluded from this guarantee. These parasites are all too common to puppies and can be contracted from water, vet facilities, and soils the moment they leave our premises. We treat and test for these and your puppy has either received a negative fecal prior to leaving or has been treated for these parasites which will be written in the health papers. Puppies typically must be shedding these parasites in their stool for it to be detected it is something we do our best to make sure puppies are clear of before they leave, HOWEVER, a litter of puppies are dirty, messy and they will put anything in their mouths so sometimes despite our best ability they still may have some parasites slip through detection. Retained testicles, underbite/overbite, and hernias are excluded from this guarantee. No guarantee is given for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). This condition is NOT hereditary and is very preventable. We (the seller) will not be responsible for illness or loss due to new owners’ treatment or lack of proper care. The seller assumes no responsibility for injury after the puppy has left our premises. Buyer MUST provide routine preventative care, including but not limited to vaccinations. We (the seller) assume no responsibility for the risks of spaying or neutering. Buyers MUST feed good quality dog food for at least the first 12 months. Failure to do so will void this guarantee. Buyer is strongly RECOMMENDED to keep their puppy on NuVet vitamins for at least the first 12 months of his/her life to ensure a good healthy start. Seller is not under any circumstances responsible for any vet expenses, that may occur at any time.

***THIS PUPPY IS BEING SOLD AS A PET ONLY WITHOUT REGISTRATION ON A SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT
